The Sick Reality Of Thrill Killers
On the 21st of May, 1924, University students Leopold and Loeb murdered 14-year-old Bobby Franks for the hell of it. They were both imprisoned for life.
On the 12th of February, 1993, Robert Thompson and Jon Venables killed toddler James Bulger. For this they were each given a ten year prison sentence.
In March of 1994, Lawrence Colwell Jr. strangled an elderly tourist in Las Vegas, Nevada and was eventually executed.
On the 27th of May, 1996, Tony Amati, Edward James and Troy Sampson murdered three people in Las Vegas.
On the 19th of April, 1997, for a thrill, 18-year-old Thomas Koskovich and 17-year-old Jayson Vreeland lured pizza delivery personnel, Jeremy Giordano and Giorgio Gallara, to a remote area to murder them.
In 1999, Alfred Brissette and Marc Girard, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island conspired to kill a 30-year-old woman to “see what it would be like.”
In 2007, Alexander James Letkemann and Jean Pierre Orlewicz kill 26-year-old Daniel Sorenson, then cut his head off…

Phil Spector Found Guilty of Murder
Music producer Phil Spector has been found guilty on second-degree murder charges. After 27 hours of deliberation, the jurors convicted Spector for the 2003 murder of Lana Clarkson. The second-degree murder conviction against Spector, 69, could draw a sentence of 15 years to life in prison. As the verdict was being read, Spector’s young wife, Rachelle, cried in the courtroom.

Japan Unveils Lifelike Female Robot
Developers in Japan unveil what they call a “cybernetic human,” a female robot that can smile, talk and walk. But the creators’ hopes to have the robot work as a fashion model are dashed. “People in the industry told us she was short and had a rather ordinary figure,” says one of the developers.
Developers at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, a government-backed organization, said their “cybernetic human,” shown Monday, wasn’t ready to help with daily chores or work side by side with people — as many hope robots will be able to do in the future.
“Technologically, it hasn’t reached that level,” said Hirohisa Hirukawa, one of the robot’s developers. “Even as a fashion model, people in the industry told us she was short and had a rather ordinary figure.”
For now, the 62.2 inch tall black-haired robot code-named HRP-4C — whose predecessor had weighed 128 pounds — will mainly serve to draw and entertain crowds.
Man Gets Stabbed Over His Flatulence
A man was stabbed after causing a stink — literally — in a motel room while eating with a friend, police said.
Five men from the Houston area were sharing a Waco motel room Tuesday night, and two were inside the room eating when one had a flatulence problem, Waco police Officer Steve Anderson said. One man was so upset about the gas that he threw a large knife at him, cutting his leg, and then stabbed him in the chest, Anderson said.
The 35-year-old man was transported to a Waco hospital, where he was treated for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, Anderson said.
Jose Braule Ramirez, 33, of Houston, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said. He was arraigned Wednesday and was being held in the McLennan County Jail on $15,000 bond and placed on an immigration hold, according to jail records. He cannot be released, even if he posts bond, until authorities verify he is in the country legally.
A jail spokeswoman who declined to give her name said she was not allowed to release information on whether Ramirez had an attorney.

Woman Calls 911 Over Skimpy Shrimp
A woman called 911 to report she didn’t get as much shrimp as she wanted in her fried rice at a Texas restaurant.
Haltom City police on Tuesday released the taped emergency call, in which the customer is heard telling the dispatcher “to get a police officer up here, what has to happen?”
The customer also says: “He didn’t even put extra shrimp in there.”
The upset customer had left the Fort Worth-area restaurant when an officer arrived Monday afternoon.
Restaurant workers say the woman had been denied a refund after leaving with her order, then returning to complain.
